The Industrial Area & Business Coalition (IABC) was started by Chris Murphy of Murphy Brothers Contracting and Jim Lanza of Lanza Electric.  It is a non-political group with one goal and that is to bring back the value of our commercial properties in the Industrial Area and businesses in the flood-prone sections in the Village of Mamaroneck.

Please call Michael Murphy (914) 424-3422 with any questions.

To get on the IABC mailing lists for upcoming meeting notices, contact the IABC at iabcvom@gmail.com .

October IABC Meeting

 When: Tuesday, October 17 2023 5-7pm

What: Meet the Mayoral and Trustee Candidates

Where: 426 Waverly Ave, Mamaroneck

In the upcoming November elections, Tom Murphy is running for re-election as Mayor against Sharon Torres, and Nora Lucas is running for re-election against Mallory Chinn. We encourage you, as a commercial property or business owner, to come hear the candidates’ positions on issues that directly affect the VOM business community from the candidates themselves, such as:

· The ACE Plan and additional/parallel flood mitigation

· How they intend to interact with and support the business community

· If they will follow through on the MAKER zoning overlay

· How the construction moratoriums being discussed by both Mayoral candidates would affect commercial property and business owners in the floodplain

Commercial properties and businesses have an assessed value of approximately $1B and are responsible for 25% of the annual taxes collected in the Village of Mamaroneck. The Village benefits from the contributions of commercial properties, but repeat flooding and decades of neglect continue to drive down our property values. The IABC has one goal in mind, and that is to bring back the value of our properties and businesses. We are a non-political group that believes in staying informed and holding our elected officials accountable, regardless of party affiliation. Come have your voice heard!
