Vanessa Ridder

In 2014, Vanessa and her husband Tory Ridder founded the School of Rock in Mamaroneck serving music students of all ages and levels from the Sound Shore community—including Port Chester, Rye Brook, Rye, Harrison, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, New Rochelle, and Pelham—with a revolutionary music education approach.
Vanessa has rocked many roles over the years before opening the school and becoming General Manager in charge of day-to-day operations, event planning, and promotions. Before opening the school in 2014, Vanessa was Creative Director for an NYC-based branding firm and also served as Public Information Officer for the Mount Vernon City School District as well as a PTA Council Board member. Musically, Vanessa has performed with a number of bands over the years including the original local band from Mamaroneck "Heathcote Hill" as well as many of the School of Rock Mamaroneck Adult Program Bands. An active member since 2015, Vanessa is looking forward to entering her second year on the Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce Board.
